The story behind the art
The Tapestry of Life is a mandala representing the connectedness of everything in life, in nature, in us. No life exists separate from what it's made of, no person lives without influencing another, no moments occur without consequence. In this piece the inner circle represents the spiralling life of one, appearing at first glance to be separated from the outer layers, but in fact it is connected across the divide to join part of the web of interdependent elements that make up the bigger picture of nature, all reliant on one another to form such a tapestry of connected living parts. I love this piece to remind me of the connectedness of everything. The oneness. The beauty that comes from being part of this tapestry of life. How we are not alone here. How we all affect one another and the way our world is evolving. Gives me purpose to do something worthy with it.
